Single Site, Agency or Extended licence: which one do you need?
What each CodDesk licence covers (domains, client handover, support) and a simple way to pick the right one for your business or studio.
Buying website software is simple until the licence question: how many sites, who owns the result, and what happens when you move servers? This guide explains the three CodDesk licences in plain terms so you can choose once and not pay twice.
What all three licences have in common
- One-time payment. No subscription.
- Full source code. Your developer can change anything.
- Lifetime updates.
- Unlimited staging and local copies. Only production domains are counted.
The differences are how many live websites you can run, whether you can build for clients, and how long free support lasts.
Single Site Licence: one business, one website
For one business running one website. It includes one production domain, unlimited staging and local copies, full source code, lifetime updates and 3 months of free support.
Choose it if you are a dealer, importer or brand launching your own website and nobody else will run it.
Agency Licence: studios and freelancers building for clients
For studios and freelancers building for clients. It covers up to five production domains and allows client handover, with full source code, lifetime updates and 3 months of free support.
Choose it if you build websites for other businesses and want to hand each finished site to its owner.
Extended Licence: many sites under one organisation
For groups running many sites under one organisation. It covers up to fifty production domains within one organisation or group, with full source code and 6 months of free support. Pricing is on request: contact CodDesk.
Choose it if you are a group with many branches or brands, each with its own website.

What happens when you move to a new server or domain?
Release the domain from your site's admin panel, then activate the licence on the new one. If a genuine migration uses up your moves, you can ask for the counter to be reset, so a real move never traps you.
Refunds
Within 14 days of purchase, in full, as long as the product has not been downloaded and the licence has not been activated. After download, licences are not refunded, so read the product page and documentation first.
A simple decision rule
- Running one website for yourself? Single Site.
- Building websites for clients? Agency.
- Running many sites inside one organisation? Extended.
Browse the catalog and compare products before you choose a licence, or read the full terms on the licensing page.
